| Mendocino Vintage started out in the town of Mendocino in 1995 in a tiny one room store. Then for a decade we had a corner storefront on Franklin St. in Fort Bragg, a big place filled to the roof-beams with treasures. In October of 2006 we moved into the smaller historical storefront at 334 N Franklin, whose wooden floor still shows the marks of loggers' cleats. Here, making a virtue of necessity, we honed down the merchandise to consentrate on fine and costume jewellry from the Victorian era up to the present and on choice antiques and fun collectibles.We have a large selection of vintage dresser items--perfumes, boxes, purses, compacts and hatpins, as well as gadgets and accessories that fascinate the guys. Silver flatware, hollowware and objects d'art evoke vanished elegance, while antique toys and stuffed animals hint at the pleasures of long ago childhoods. Our array of glassware, art pottery, porcelain, sewing memorabelia, magazines, vintage vinyl, photographica and framed art appeal to almost every imagination.At mendocino Vintage we are green at heart. We believe that buying vintage is a way of living beautifully while keeping your environmental footprint small.
