The Mendocino Land Trust will hold a Big River Interpretive Walk. Big River Interpretive Walks are free of charge and open to everyone. Participants will have the opportunity to venture down the Big River Main Haul Road with a Big River Docent, learning about the Big River estuary, the cultural history of Mendocino, the birds and animals of Big River, local lore and redwood ecology. Big River Interpretive Walks offer participants an excellent opportunity to learn more about this unique area of the Mendocino Coast while enjoying beautiful views of the estuary and the redwoods.
