- Over 50 pieces of one-of-a-kind artwork up for bid, featuring paintings, ceramics, photography, drawings, jewelry, etchings, quilts and more. Also ten non-art items, including a Point Cabrillo Lighthouse Weekend Vacation, Gourmet Dinner for Four in the County Jail, and Five Days in a Paradise Oceanfront Retreat in Hawaii (travel not included). The bidding will conclude with a live auction at the Mendocino Art Center, Saturday, September 29, 3pm. A Welcome Reception begins at 2pm.

Richard Thompson Benefit Concert for Otsuchi

- British guitarist and songwriter Richard Thompson, hailed today as "one of the most distinctive and iconoclastic virtuosos of rock history," will give a rare solo acoustic performance Friday, September 28 at 8pm at Cotton Auditorium in Fort Bragg. This concert will benefit both Mendocino County Public Radio Station KZYX and the Otsuchi-Fort Bragg Student Exchange Fund, which was devastated by the 3/11/11 Great East Japan Earthquake.
