“Bobby & Jazz” is the Mendocino Stories and Music Series event welcoming back one of our favorite local authors, Bobby Markels. On Saturday, September 22 Bobby will be joined by her son Alex Markels in a jazz duo, “13 Strings” with James Mosely and then jazz trio “17 Strings” with bassist Jack Prendergast”. Showtime is 7:30PM at the Hill House Inn. Alex Markels - 7 string guitar - and James Moseley - 6 string guitar - will play duet interpretations of jazz tunes they love, written by Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington, Horace Silver & others. Alex and James have been playing guitar since they were kids. Add bassist Jack Prendergast to the mix and you get “17 Strings” jazz trio. Jack, inspired by the great bassists of his youth, became a student of the bass role in jazz and all forms of popular music. All Ages Welcome! Doors open at 6:30 PM for bistro menu and full bar.
