Staff Naturalist/Gardener, Mario Abreu will lead mushroom walks every Monday, November 12th through December17th at the Gardens. Mushroom identification, biology, edibility, myths and the good times that all come along with a mushroom walk will be included. Warning: exposure to the mushroom world can be habit-forming! Take home hand-crafted gifts, wreaths, food products and other items while supporting your local organizations and artisans. Snacks and lunch will be available for purchase. Funds raised will help maintain the historic Greenwood Community Church and renovate the parsonage. • 4:00 pm : Christmas Train [details] Fort Bragg’s famous Skunk Train will run special 90-minute roundtrips throughout December. Each trip will feature a visit from Santa’s Elves, music and cookies and cocoa. All guests are encouraged to wear their pajamas. On Saturday, December 1, Lenny’s CD Release Party will bring in lots of favorite local musicians. Showtime is 7:30PM at the Hill House Inn. Lenny’s new CD, “Children Gotta Walk Down That Road”, is hot off the press and includes many of the musicians playing for this benefit. Riptide with Roger Fritz, David Hayes and James Preston will be there. Look for Stevie Gurr, John Chamberlin and Steven Bates, all ready to join Lenny Laks on the big stage. All Ages Welcome!
