A first-time staged reading of Peter Wells’ original one-act play “The Cage” at the Mendocino Theatre Company’s Helen Schoeni Theatre. This is a rare opportunity to view a work in progress projected to become a short film. This gritty and insightful short play features an all-star cast of Scott Wells as Baxter, Doug Waldo as the old man, Mark Friedrich as the park ranger and Ahu Smith as the deputy sheriff.
