On Friday, July 6 Mendocino Stories & Music Series will feature “Folk-Rock with Heart” featuring Marcus McCallen with bassist Johnny Bush. Music starts at 7:30PM at the Mendocino Hotel.
Marcus McCallen’s voice, along with an irresistible blend of folk, rock, country and blues, will get people’s toes tapping. A versatile singer and accomplished guitarist, he has shared the stage with Van Morrison, Jessie Colin Young, Chris Isaak, Jerry Jeff Walker, and many others. He is currently working on his next CD of all original material.
A veteran of the Mendocino Coast music scene for over thirty years, John Bush is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and audio engineer. Focusing primarily on bass these days John currently works with Marcus, Morgan Daniel, and Lenny Laks. He can always be counted on to sit in with local jazz and blues bands.
