Join the Mendocino Land Trust a Big free River Interpretive Walks. While walking alongside Big River, you will learn about the Big River estuary, the cultural history of Mendocino, local plants and animals, and redwood ecology. Walks are free and open to everyone. Meet at the Big River Kiosk at the eastern end of the Big River Beach Parking Lot just south of Mendocino, CA at 10:00 a.m., weather permitting. Walks last one to two hours and cover two to four miles. Water, comfortable shoes and binoculars are recommended. Anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult. No RSVP required.
