Learn to Kayak Weekend

- Learn skills to make your paddling easier and more fun with a fun weekend of kayaking instruction. Saturday is a full day class taught on the calm waters of the Noyo. Silent Auction

- 33rd Annual Silent Auction, Crown Hall, Mendocino
Join us for wine and appetizers at Preview Night on Friday, October 5, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm, where hundreds of new and used items will be available for bidding. Cost is $17 pp. New products include gift certificates, giftware, jewelry and Mendocino County wines, plus used items and furniture. Year of the Dragon Otsuchi Fundraiser

- A Benefit for Fort Bragg's sister city Otsuchi, Japan on Saturday, October 6th at 6:30 at St. Michael's Hall in Fort Bragg. Join us for a night of laughter, mystery and magic as Cathryn Fairlee tells traditional stories from Japan, Korea and China accompanied by talented musician Ron Nadeau on koto and shakuhachi. Enjoy sushi, a kimono display and silent auction. Wine, beer and sake will be available for purchase. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for young adults 12-16. Cathryn's stories are appropriate for ages 12 and up.

Singer/Songwriters-in-a-row

- In one of our favorite formats, Mendocino Stories and Music Series presents Singer/Songwriters-in-a-row on Saturday, October 6. Featured musicians are Denny Lunsford, Sue Sisk, Steven Bates and Gwyneth Moreland. Each will play an original tune, taking turns in the row. Music starts at 7:30PM at the Hill House Inn.
