Viver Brasil is rooted in the traditional and contemporary forms and techniques of Salvador, Bahia, Brazil, and embodies the beautiful and complex sacred stories of the Orixa, deities in Afro-Brazilian culture.
Viver Brasil's performances are jubilant and explore Brazil's racial, social, and political history. Their programs are a living history of Afro-Brazilian dance, the Candomble ceremony, and Bahian Carnaval.
