They are Sharon Garner on vocals, John Bush on bass and vocals, and Billy Schieve on piano and vocals.  Showtime is 7:30PM on Friday, November 16 at the Mendocino Hotel. Shades of Gray choice of music specializes in a variety of material spanning years and styles, with emphasis on well-written songs with depth and intricacy, melodies and harmonies, in the jazz, soul, blues, pop, R&B, and gospel traditions...hence the descriptive "lounge noir".  Multi –instrumentalist and sound engineer, John Bush is a proud graduate of the Mendocino Bob Ayers music program. He has played music with, or worked sound for, literally, every musician on our Mendocino Coast since his musical training.  He is also known for his years playing with the Mighty T-Bones band and was the co-producer of Pattie Jam.   Sharon Garner comes from a professional music industry background in the Bay Area with the band Cross Currents to years fronting the local funk band Dysfunktion.  She is well known as the presenting female vocalist for the Boonville Big Band jazz band and is appreciated by all the musicians she works with as “another instrument in the band”.   Playing keyboards, guitar, bass, and drums in Chicago area clubs as an under-age teenager after his classical music training as a child, Billy Schieve graduated to jazz piano experience while in college.  Besides being a local band leader and sideman player, he is probably most known for his music directorship and performance in multiple Gloriana theatre productions and music revues.
